What actually matters
1. The ink model. Cartridges are cheap to start and expensive per page. Tank printers cost more upfront and far less per page. If you print a lot, the tank wins within a year.
2. Pages per month. Below 30 pages, a cartridge printer is fine. Above 100, look at tanks.
3. What you print. Photos need dye ink and photo paper. Documents are fine on any of these.
4. Wi-Fi. Almost essential if the printer is not next to the computer.
5. Scanning. All of these scan and copy. If you only print, you are paying for features you do not use.
